How To Clean Your Keyboard
Unfortunately, gamers have to eat too. And we usually do that by our keyboard and mouse. So, naturally, dust, crumbs, and grease start to form all over the keyboard. Gross. Let's fix that. This is how to clean your keyboard.
Start by unplugging it. It's a bit of an inconvenience, but I've tried cleaning leaving it plugged, and messing around with those keys will activate some weird setting you don't want. Don't be lazy. Get it done.
Next, do a wipe down of all the keys to get the sticky substance off the top surfaces. It already looks cleaner, but we gotta get through all those crevices. You don't have to take apart your keyboard to get at them though.
Instead, hold the keyboard sideways use a can of compressed air to blow the crumbs out. This is an absolutely genius move, and more people need to do this.
Finally, get a bunch of cotton swabs. Wet them a little bit but not too much; all that water isn't good for electronics. Then just start going at it with those swabs. All the dirt and dust that you never noticed is going to magically disappear.
This is just the bare minimum to get your keyboard in shape. I recommend this video by Paul's Hardware for more detail.
